Lord, Liar or Lunatic?
When Jesus came to the region of Caesaria Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” (Matt 6:13-15 NKJV)
I found the following tucked inside the back cover of the January 2012 issue of Daily Bread. I don’t think it was intended as a homily, as it didn’t come with a prayer or scripture reading, so I have appended my own.
As part of the Church of Jesus Christ, you are part of us. In Drummond Hill everyone who comes to share worship is welcomed as a member of Christ's family; we are honoured to be your spiritual home away from home. We consider ourselves to be blessed by Christ because of your sharing.

We are the 10:30 crowd.
Once we were slaves to the fast moving time. The tide of busy-ness came in waves to squeeze out what little free time we enjoyed. Our lives were filled with tasks of caring for others. Now that children have grown up, future opens up again to live and enjoy. Time no longer controls us. Instead, we can savour and slow it down to serve our purpose. Approaching retirement or the state of already being in retirement offers us different perspectives on what life is and should be.
Lectionary Bible Study
First of all, what’s a Lectionary? Well, a Lectionary is a group of bible readings which change weekly. Each group usually comprises two Old and two New Testament readings with an underlying thread linking them together. The idea of the weekly bible study is to find this thread tying the readings together.
On Sunday, December 18th our choir is presenting a Christmas Cantata during our 10:30 worship service.
On Christmas Eve, at 7:00 pm we are holding our traditional Christmas Eve worship and at 11:00 pm communion will be served.
On Sunday, December 25th, Christmas is celebrated at 10:30 am with a quiet worship service. There will not be an early breakfast service on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Of course, everyone is invited and welcomed.
